Seven Time Skipping World Champion Peter Nester.
Cailin, Oskar, Hannah and Ben were chosen to go to Cowles Stadium to see Peter Nester with all his tricks using skipping ropes. Some of his tricks were jump roping on a unicycle, double dutch, helicopter, skipping on his back side and lots of other awesome tricks.
After Peter had showed us some of his tricks we got to have a go with the skipping ropes. We learnt lots of awesome moves.

Cross country
On the second of June, we had cross country. We didn't just run around the school three or four times, we went to the Simmers' farm, for a real cross country. The kids in our class had to go around the bottom field and onto a track that climbed up a steep hill, then turned a corner and ran back down again.
In our class the girls first place getter, was not only one person but two. Hannah Davies and Ruby Blake-Manson decided to not compete against each other, but to tie in first place. The second place getter, this time was only one person so we must congratulate Ruby Weston. And last but not least, the third place getter once again wasn't one but two, Chloe Bollingford and Tabitha Neil-lethlean.
The boys however, were much more competitive. First place was easily the living motor, Ben Baynes, who came in just after Ruby and Hannah arrived, unofficially coming second place in the girls race. Second place was Thomas Drakes, closely followed by Oskar Simmers, coming in third.
It was a great cross country, but we aren't all looking forward to all that running again!

Kereru Technology Challenge
The current year six technology challenge, taken by Mr Hawke every Wednesday, is to produce a short video clip advertising our school. The class has been split up into three groups, each advertising two or three different parts or activities of the school: Library, Admin block, classrooms, gardens, lunchtime, playgrounds, performing arts and the staff. We are hoping that they will be finished in the next few weeks and we will then present them to the rest of the school.
